Documents and the case vault

Store filings, evidence and drafts with the matter they belong to, and read them without downloading.

Documents are the substance of a matter, and they are exactly what gets scattered across drives, email attachments and personal folders. In Lawdex, every matter has its own vault, so a file always lives with the case it belongs to.

Read in the app, not the download folder

Upload filings, evidence and drafts, then open them right inside Lawdex. PDFs and Word documents render in the app, so you can read a process or a draft without downloading it and losing track of which copy is current. You can still download when you genuinely need a local copy.

Storage that stays under control

Storage is managed per workspace with a clear limit, and you always see how much space is left. Scanned court processes can be heavy, so for large scans, choosing black and white or a smaller size in your scanner app keeps files light without losing legibility. Senior staff can delete files; associates have read access, which keeps the vault tidy and safe.

Because the vault is scoped to the matter and to your workspace, you never have to think about who can see what. The access rules do that for you.
